There is knowing that you need a boundary, and then there is actually holding one.
For many of us, the difficult part isn’t understanding what a boundary is. It’s noticing our limits before we have pushed past them. Saying no without a lengthy explanation. Allowing someone to be disappointed. Asking for what we need. Or staying connected to ourselves when another person wants something different.
The Art of Boundaries is a four-week therapeutic group combining psychoeducation, reflection, mindful movement, yoga and somatic practice.
Together, we’ll explore the beliefs and patterns that shape the way we relate to other people, while developing practical ways to recognize, communicate and maintain healthier boundaries.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each two-hour session combines therapeutic exploration with gentle mindful movement, somatic practices and reflection.
Over four weeks, we’ll explore:
Foundations of boundaries
Understand different kinds of boundaries, where your current patterns may have come from, and how they affect your relationships and well-being.
Guilt, conflict + people pleasing
Explore some of the beliefs and fears that can make setting a boundary feel uncomfortable, selfish or unsafe.
Embodied boundaries
Learn to recognize the physical cues that can signal discomfort, overwhelm or a need for more space before your mind has fully caught up.
Boundaries in real life
Practice clearer communication and develop strategies for maintaining boundaries when they are questioned, challenged or simply difficult to hold.
This is not about becoming rigid or building walls around yourself.
It is about creating enough clarity around your own needs, capacity and responsibility that connection can feel more sustainable.
No previous yoga experience is required. Movement practices are gentle and adaptable, and participation in group sharing is always optional.
